In order to actively respond to the national "the Belt and Road" strategic plan, Shidao Heavy Industry and Hengyi Brunei signed a PMB petrochemical project - a flexible coking unit with an annual output of 1 million tons. This project is the sixth flexible coking process unit in the world and the first flexible coking process unit produced in China.
This project includes φ 13360mm carburetor φ 4330mm φ 9365mm heater and φ 3650mm- φ 5450mm reactor and φ 4000- φ 5038mm washing tower. Due to the large diameter, variety of materials, and complex structure of the equipment in this project, the company faces great challenges in equipment manufacturing, heat treatment, lifting, transportation, and other aspects. The majority of employees have overcome difficulties and worked together. Currently, the carburetor has been delivered smoothly, and other equipment is being shipped to Brunei one after another.
Hengyi Brunei PMB project is the largest foreign industrial investment in Brunei so far, and also the first batch of "the Belt and Road" key projects in China, known as the flagship cooperation project between China and Brunei. The full name of the Hengyi Brunei PMB project is the Integrated Petrochemical Project of Greater Mora Island. The first phase of the project plans to have an annual refining capacity of 8 million tons, including an annual production of 1.5 million tons of paraxylene, 500000 tons of benzene, and nearly 6 million tons of gasoline, diesel, coal, and oil products. The second phase project plans to add 14 million tons/year of crude oil processing capacity, including 1.5 million tons/year of ethylene and 2 million tons/year of xylene.
Due to the complex product structure, high manufacturing technology requirements, and short construction period of the Hengyi Brunei project, customers have put forward strict requirements from early technical preparation to later material procurement, material processing, and manufacturing. After the production plan was issued, in order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, the company established a project team, led by the production department, to organize weekly meetings with personnel from departments such as technology, procurement, production, and quality inspection, to exchange and communicate with each other on the problems encountered during the project manufacturing process, so that the problems can be resolved as soon as possible. To ensure production progress, the company has also established a temporary office at Shidao Port, where the head of the production department arranges and guides work on a daily basis at the construction site; Technical personnel often go to the site for technical guidance; The Quality Management Department is also dispatching backbone personnel to strictly control product quality.
Chairman Cao of the group also paid high attention to the progress of the project and went to the construction site multiple times to guide work, greatly improving the production enthusiasm of the workers.
In order to ensure the timely delivery of project products, workers on the dock work hard at night to catch up with the schedule in the dead of night; At the beginning, the snow fell temporarily, and the workers on the dock braved the harsh cold and frost outdoors, insisting on carrying out the construction according to the original plan. Everyone is working together to contribute to the early completion of equipment manufacturing. It is precisely due to the selfless efforts of countless dedicated workers that the equipment can be delivered on time.
The successful completion of the Hengyi Brunei Petrochemical project has further enhanced the comprehensive manufacturing capacity of Shidao Heavy Industry, helping "Made in China" to move towards the high-end.
